School Council

School Council

At Deepcar St John’s, each class elects two representatives to serve on our School Council. Children who wish to become a councillor have the opportunity to present their reasons for wanting the role to their classmates. Following these presentations, a vote takes place to determine who will represent the class.

The School Council plays an important role in shaping school life, giving pupils a voice in decisions that affect their learning and environment. Mrs Ashton works closely with the council, supporting the children as they discuss ideas, plan initiatives, and contribute to school matters.

Our School Council encourages responsibility, teamwork, and leadership, helping pupils develop valuable skills while making a positive difference in the life of the school.
